The recommended web hosting service for Become Your Own Webmaster is Hostgator's "Baby" package. In the first video of the course, you'll be shown how to set up your account.

You can use other hosting providers, as long as they meet the following requirements:

• cPanel 10 (or higher)

• Fantastico (including Wordpress)

• Support for hosting multiple domains

• At least 5GB bandwidth per month, with 1GB file storage

Warning: Please be wary of very cheap services (under $5 a month) as they tend to be unreliable and you may find you are unable to access your site a lot of the time. There are a lot of poor hosts out there, so please do as much research as possible before choosing one.
